Innkeeper

Support and model the vision, mission and values of New Song. Oversee cabin care, occupancy, and housekeeping coordination to create an outstanding guest experience.
  • New Song Compensation: Volunteer
  • AirBnB Rental Compensation: 1099 Independent Contractor $10,000 - $14,000
  • Location: On-location, Tahlequah, OK
  • Reports To: Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reservations and ensure smooth check-in/check-out.

  • Address guest needs, feedback, and concerns promptly.

  • Provide personalized recommendations and thoughtful guest touches.

  • Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance to keep cabins and commons areas guest-ready

  • Maintain records, reviews, inventory, and supply orders

  • Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance.

  • Plan, prepare, and serve breakfasts and assist with meals for events as directed

Qualifications

  • Hospitality or customer service experience, or strong willingness to learn.

  • Passion for hosting and excellent guest service.

  • Calm, diplomatic demeanor in a guest-focused environment.

  • Respectful of retreat guest privacy.

  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.

  • Strong time-management skills and flexibility to prioritize competing deadlines.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Works well independently and as part of a small team.

  • Trusted to handle confidential and sensitive information.

  • Experience with meal planning and food preparation.

  • Basic computer skills (email, social media, documents, spreadsheets, databases); willing to learn.

  • Able to use cell phones for email and instant messaging (alternatives may be available). 

Time Commitment

  • Shifts typically scheduled around guest check-outs and check-ins  Monday-Friday.

  • On-call including mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and for occasional special events or projects may be required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements 

  • Physically active indoor/outdoor work involving lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, climbing, and walking on uneven terrain in all weather conditions.

  • Wooded resort setting; exposure to insects, wildlife, and cleaning/pest products (preferably, enviro friendly).
